Wild Silver White Tea
Wild Silver White Tea
Notes of Sweet Hay, White Peach, Honey
Fozi Mountain, Fujian Province, China
Wild Silver from Fozi Mountain in Fujian province is a rare treat indeed. Our only white tea in the collection for now, these downy, silver needle buds are hand-picked from a semi-wild tea garden in the mountains. Being able to hand-forage these buds from elevations up to 2600 ft can be very challenging, but the product of such efforts is this stunningly delicious and full-bodied white tea. The plucking standard is all buds. The finished tea is very fresh, with seductive aromas of cotton candy, green tea mochi, and white peach. In the liquor, we found it to have a thick, jammy plum-like sweetness, a plush, rounded body, and incredible lingering flavors of sweet prairie hay and malt. The buds hold up well to 2 or 3 steeps. This tea of character is not to be missed!
